Grant

Grant is an English demon first mentioned by Gervase of Tilbury circa 1212.

Description

Grant is said to have the form of a colt which walked on its hind-legs and had fiery eyes, 'like foals of a year old'.

Behavior

Grant was a town spirit and either at midday or just after sunset it would run down the middle of the street. All the dogs barked furiously, and this was said to be a warning of imminent danger.
