The epimacus or opinicus is a fabulous beast that belongs to the family of griffins.
Description
A body and four legs like a lion, the head neck and wings of an eagle, and the short tail of a camel. Sometimes an opinicus is born without wings.
Epimacus is also the name for a genus of highly ornate and brilliantly colored birds of Australia, allied to the birds of Paradise.
