Ayida-Weddo is a snake goddess in the mythology of Benin and Haiti.

Also known as Aida Cuedo, Erzulie, Aida Wedo, Ayida, Ayida Cueddo, Aida Quedo or the Rainbow Snake. Similar deities can be found in Africa, Oceania and Central and South America.

Ayida-Weddo is the loa of fertility, rainbows and fresh water who determines human destiny. Her husband is Damballa-Wedo, the god of rivers and springs, and they both appear as snakes in corporeal form. Anthropologists consider her the equivalent of the African Mawu. She played an important part in the creation of the world.
