Description
The gruagach generally goes about completely naked, covered in a thick layer of fur; though sometimes it will appear as a handsome youth clad in garments of green and red. The female of the species is connected with water. She always dresses in green and sports long blonde tresses. Sometimes she is comely, while other times she appears a hag. Often she is dripping wet.
Behavior
Both will perform tasks for mortals. The females prefer to herd cattle, while the males labour about the farm harvesting and threshing grain. Gruagachs expect that a bowl of milk will be laid out each night for them. If this is not done, they become angry and testy.
