Huli Jing or Fox Fairy is a domicile demon considered extremely evil and dangerous.
Origin
In Chinese lore the Huli Jing is a spirit resembling the characteristic of vampires as he takes life force out of his victims through sex.
This spirit is one of the most feared in Chinese lore as terrifies the living by shapeshifting into many forms and haunting places.
Element
Huli Jing is a domicile demon.
- it can only be seen by night in the house for it’s invisible by day; it often sighted crouched on the roof of the house and gets offered incense and food by its inhabitants as a sign of respect and fear.
Main Belief
It was believed that Huli Jing was the spirit of the dead who had been rising from the grave.
- It is also common belief that this demon has shapeshifters ability and can turn into a beautiful woman, often fond of virtuous scholars
- Huli Jing can be both male and female and its main purpose is to take the vital essence of its human lover; that is achieved during orgasm. Eventually the lover will waste and die.
- Huli Jing enjoys shapeshifting in the form of long dead persons in order to haunt houses and scare mortals
- a trickster with deadly power, it may possess its prey out of sheer malevolence; they say generations of madness in a family can be the result of having injured a Fox Fairy (one of its transformations);
- Huli Jing can transport persons in the air as well as giving those who worship him the ability to enter a house passing through walls.
Weaknesses
- When the demon is in female form, get her drunk in order to revert it to its true shape. Once discovered it will vanish.
- If caught off guard in fox form and its tail, the source of its power, will be cut off, it will leave never to return again.
- To get rid of the spirit paper charms must be burnt, their ashes mixed in tea and drunk by the victim.
