The Mantygre, also sometimes referred to as the Man Tiger, Montegre, Satyral, or Lympago, is a fabulous creature often confused with the Manticore.

The lympago or satyral

Description

The Mantygre is often described as having the body of a tiger, oxen like horns atop its head and a face that resembles that of a withered old man when viewed from a distance.

Some accounts also suggest that this creature has the feet of a clawed dragon, though this seems to be more of an exception than the norm.

History/Beliefs

This animal was included in numerous medieval bestiaries, and also appeared in works of heraldry.
