Otoroshi is a yokai in Japanese mythology.
Appearance
Otoroshi is mysterious creature that is barely described as a pair of eyes and tusks that protrude from the swirling shadows of its mane. It is often said that otoroshi can actually hide its body in the wild and lengthy swirling hair, from which it can emerge at any time. It can blend shadows and make itself seen whenever it wishes.
Behavior
Some say that otoroshi suspend themselves from torii, the gates at every shrine to separate the human world from the divine world, and will descend upon those who enter the shrine who do not respect the holiness of the place, and crush/devour them.
