In certain regions of north-west Albania (modern day Macedonia) the sampiro is called as Dhampir. The word Dhampir is formed from two words Dham (tooth) and Pir (drinker).
This interprations is very genuine and explains many of the debates of the etymology of the word vampire discussed in Wikipedia.
