In Inuit mythology, Tornarsuk is a god of the underworld.

Tornarsuk is the head of the protective gods known as the tornat. He is also the master of the whales and seals.
Appearance
Tornarsuk is depicted either as a as a bear, a tall one-armed man, a half-man and half-seal creature, or a tiny figure. Other tales describe him as invisible, that he has a body covered with eyes, or that his is a sea monster.
Powers
Torngarsuk is invoked by fishermen and by the Anguekkoks (the medicine men) when one falls ill.
The Tornaq are the familiars of shamans and called the owner of everything in nature. Each Anguekkok keeps a familiar spirit in a lether bottle which he evokes & consults like an oracle. They are usually invisible, though they sometimes appear as a light or fire prior to the death of someone.
