| In one account while Aberewa prepared food for her children she pounded palm nuts in a mortar with her pestle. However, every time she pounded the pestle she would bump [[Nyame]], who would be the god of the sky. Annoyed by the bumping, Nyame left the earth for the sky and decided to stay there.
