Mangindusa or the “lord of the heavens” is one of the four holy gods in the Tagbanua mythology.

Characteristics

The Mangindusa lives in a revered place known as Awan-awan. It is located further than the langit, an area between the sky world and the earth. He settles with his wife called Bugawasin, his messengers and other heavenly creatures.

Power

By tradition, Mangindusa has been considered as the punisher of dusa (crime). Mangindusa punishes the society for the sumbang (incest), the only accepted public dusa. He usually withholds the rain.
