In Albanian mythology, Prende was a goddess of love.
Description
Prende was the wife of Perendi and she was referred as “the queen of beauty” (zoja e bukuris). Her sacred day was Friday.
In the early Middle Ages when Christianity entered Albania, Prende was acknowledged by the Catholic Church as Saint Anne, the mother of Virgin Mary.
