A spectre (also spelled specter) is a phantom or ghost, or an unreal frightening apparition. It is common in some types of folklore and mythology. Also know as spector, specter, disembodied spirit.

Description
An etheral representation of human/animal which look supernatural or frightening. Ghosts can come in a variety of forms: children, men, women, animals and demonstrate various feeling.

In some role-playing or fantasy worlds, a spectre is a particularly powerful type of undead. The term usually refers to a ghost, or sometimes to another kind of spiritual being or sprite.
