She was a daughter of [[Phorcys]] and [[Ceto]], or sometimes, [[Typhon]] and [[Echidna (mythology)|Echidna]].
Her sister [[Euryale]] was immortal and sister [[Medusa]] was mortal.
Stheno's head was displayed when she died for all the gods to mock.
