Timingila is a huge sea monster that can swallow whole whales, as written about in the Mahabharata.

Theory

The timingila fish is held responsible by some for the planes and ships that disappear in the bermuda triangle. People pretend it is so large that it can leap out of the water and snatch a plane out of the sky just as a fish leaps out of the water to snatch a fly, without its tail even leaves the water.
