In Zulu tradition, Unwaba is a mythical chameleon that was sent by the sky-god Umvelinqangi to tell humanity they had eternal life. Unfortunately the creature was so slow that humans and other species became mortal after all.
The color of a chameleon changes from green to brown, because it is mourning Unwaba sloth.
